Little History on Color Trends
Did you know that ever since the 1950s, designers from around the world have been forecasting trends for fashion, textile, and consumer lifestyle products? I know, crazy uh? Can I’ll let you in on a secret? I just recently discovered this while watching “The Devil Wears Prada”; which by the way is one of my favorite movies.
Well on my hunt for color trends, I came across Next Look’s website where I found the forecast of color trends for 2023. I used their color palettes to create four different outfit inspiration boards that cover all seasons. Spring & Summer Inspiration
Using the color palette in the following inspiration board, I first started with Mom’s outfit. I selected this dress from Baltic Born and then built upon it with each family member. Pulling the colors from Mom’s dress and from the color palette to create a cohesive look. You’ll notice I followed the same process with each outfit inspiration board below. These beautiful blue tones are perfect for a beach or flower field location.
The second look for Spring/Summer includes neutral earth tones perfect for the wilderness, tall grass fields or mountain terrains.

Fall & Winter Inspiration
Honestly, these Fall/Winter outfit inspiration boards make me crave a pumpkin spice latte and a slice of apple pie. Alexa turn on the fake fireplace! LOL.
